The 2026 Tour de France, a stage 100% in Corrèze!

In 2026, Corrèze will make history in the Tour de France. For the first time, the race will feature a road stage entirely within the department, offering an exceptional sporting spectacle amidst unspoiled landscapes.

Join us on Sunday, July 12, 2026, for a festive and popular day that promises to ignite the roads of Corrèze!

A brand-new Tour de France stage between Malemort and Ussel

This 9th stage of the Tour de France, 185 km long, will link Malemort to Ussel, two towns experiencing their very first Tour de France as start and finish cities.

The peloton will traverse a verdant and authentic Corrèze, alternating between country roads, wooded hills, charming villages, and remarkable heritage sites.

With nearly 3,300 meters of elevation gain, the route promises to be demanding and perfect for breakaway specialists and those who love daring attacks. Route and climbs: a sporting day for cyclists! (h2)

The stage profile promises an intense spectacle, with several categorized climbs to spice up the race:
  • the Côte de Naves, after Beynat and Tulle,
  • the Suc au May, a formidable 3.8 km climb with sections approaching 18%,
  • the Côte de la Croix du Pey, technical and winding,
  • Mont Bessou, the highest point in the department, at nearly 1,000 meters altitude.

The tense and hard-fought finale will take place in Ussel, with the finish line on Avenue Thiers, near Place Voltaire, promising a great turnout.
