Classified as a protected natural site, the Murel Waterfalls captivate with their authenticity.

Here, there are no artificial features: only the forest, the rock, and the water.

Formed by the Franche Valeine stream, the waterfalls cascade through wooded gorges.

The Prade waterfall, the most spectacular, plunges powerfully before giving way to the Grande Cascade, and then to several more discreet falls.

Each turn reveals a new perspective during your walk.

An atmosphere of mystery and legend

The atmosphere of the Murel Waterfalls is often described as mysterious and captivating.

The murmur of the water, the coolness of the undergrowth, and the moss-covered rock faces create an almost timeless setting, typical of the waterfalls of Corrèze.

Adding to this is a local legend: it is said that the old bells of the Albussac church were thrown into the basin of the Great Waterfall by the devil himself.

• From Albussac: a longer and more challenging route, intended for hikers.
• Marked trails allow you to explore the site and its various waterfalls safely.

⏱ Visit time

Allow 1 to 2 hours depending on the chosen route and the time spent there. Hikers can extend their exploration with longer loops.
